This group is to exchange information and experiences and share best practices on the nature and origins of black powder in gas pipelines and its impacts on operations and customers, mitigation and control methods, sampling and analysis techniques, handling and disposal.
The TEG will cover topics related to direct assessment experiences, issues, gaps and concerns related to ECDA, ICDA, and SCCDA as well as to evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance the DA programs.
The session will cover issues related to utilization of cost effective composite piping system to control corrosion in onshore and offshore water and hydrocarbon applications. The discussion will include: design and qualification criteria, life cycle cost analysis, assessment of buoyancy effect and on-bottom stability, venting mechanism, define the materials and coating requirements for fittings, installation and repair procedure.
